The Infant and Maternal Health Coalition is hosting its second annual Maternal and Child Health Summit on April 12, 2025, at PATHS Community Medical Center in South Boston from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

This event is designed to raise awareness while offering education and support to families, expectant parents, and those with young children. 

The coalition, led by Tri-County Community Action Agency, consists of various community partners who help provide resources and services for this event. The event will kick off with a keynote address by Aariyana Britton, followed by a workshop titled “Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences,” presented by Southside Behavioral Health. 

Resource tables and presenters will be available on-site to offer education and resources on topics such as behavioral health and wellness, child health, and pregnancy support, including nutrition and breastfeeding. 

Participants will join breakout sessions led by Birth in Color, VA Cooperative Extension, Southside Behavioral Health, Sol Blossom Birth Services, and On the go Yoga. The event will wrap up with a Community Baby Shower, where attendees will receive maternity and infant care supplies.
