For Our Health (FOH), a nonpartisan public health advocacy initiative launched by the American Public Health Association, has come out in strong opposition to the Administration’s proposed 2026 budget cuts, saying the cuts would devastate the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). 

In THIS RELEASE, FOH provided examples of what they see as three major threats:

1. Everyday Americans will face increased health risks.
2. Medical research and treatment innovation will stall.
3. America’s biomedical leadership will be devastated.

FOH also issues a call to action in the release, asking for Congress to invest more in frontline health systems and workforce.

FOH was formed in February of 2025 to “serve as a unified voice defending evidence-based health initiatives and safeguarding critical public health protections.” FOH invites public health professionals and advocates to join its efforts.
