CDC’s Early Childhood Nutrition Report, 2025: Data to support healthy growth and development for children 5 years and younger

The DNPAO Seminar Series showcases the latest research, guidelines, and successes. The Seminar Series is for partners, public health practitioners, and other professionals interested in nutrition, physical activity, and obesity.
The October 30 seminar will highlight the 2025 Early Childhood Nutrition Report. The report contains data for all 50 states and D.C. on 16 indicators covering breastfeeding, supports for infant feeding, first solid foods, healthy eating, and affordability of nutritious foods, as well as a national summary of these indicators. The webinar will focus on key findings and how the report can be used.
Two State Physical Activity and Nutrition (SPAN) program recipients will present on their early care and education (ECE) and breastfeeding work.
- Texas Department of State Health Services will provide an overview of their current statewide health initiatives for early care settings, as well as a snapshot of what’s on the horizon for Texas ECE providers in rural communities.
- Utah Department of Health will provide an overview of their breastfeeding work and share examples of state-level hospital efforts
